I was approached by Intelligent Futures to design a custom wallpaper for their Kensington Corner project. The goal was to create a design that highlighted 45 vacation spots the owners had travelled to, all in a minimalist art style with bold colours. Designing such a detailed wallpaper was a large-scale and gratifying project that I am grateful to have been a part of.
After some collaborative meetings where we discussed the design and art style, I developed artwork for one of the locations to demonstrate the art style to the client and to gain a better understanding of which colours they wished to work with. Once the design style was established, I began the process of creating each of the 45 locations individually, sending them in batches to Intelligent Futures for feedback and edits. It was a fiddly task with the printing process and bleed to consider, but in the end it came together smoothly.
It was great to be able to flex my artistic skills when recreating such a variety of locations and to have the creative freedom to choose the bold and saturated colours. It was a lengthy process to develop each location but itβs extremely gratifying to see all of it come together as a finished product.
Many of the locations I designed are viewable on my Redbubble shop and can be purchased as various merchandise like t-shirts, notebooks and more.
